$8,000 Tax Credit Extended
$8,000 Tax Credit Extended to Include Some Current Home Owners
A new law has been passed that will extend the 8,000 Tax credit:
First-Time Home Buyers will still get up to $8,000 until April 30, 2010.
Current home owners will get up to $6,500 if they purchase a new or existing home between November 7, 2009 and April 30, 2010.
Qualification:
To get $8,000 – You must be a first-time home buyer and buy a home between November 7, 2009 and April 30, 2010.
To get $6,500 - You must be current home owners and buy a home between November 7, 2009 and April 30, 2010. Note: You must have lived in your current home for 5 years.
Income has to be under the following amounts to receive the maximum tax credit:
Single buyers $125,000
Married couples $225,000
